It seems silly to say thank you. It is not near enough! But “thank-you”! Thank you for loving my sister and praying for her. God heard our prayers, and thankfully OUR will for Lisa matched up with God’s perfect plan for her. She is alive, and will NOT loose her life to breast cancer! Praise God!
Lisa has been so strong. The pain is horrible, and she has not found a drug yet that is making her comfortable. Her doctors are all apologizing and saying that her pain is not at a normal range. She is meeting with a pain management dr today. Watching her in pain is the hardest part for all of us who are helpless to do anything to make her feel better. Continue to pray that her pain will be manageable. She has been able to drift off to sleep at night, so that prayer was answered.
We got pathology back last night. This is our biggest praise. She had precancerous cells in BOTH breasts! Her lympth nodes were cancer free, so we know that the cancer did not get into her blood flow. This is the biggest praise because Lisa really struggled with the decision to remove her breasts. Even after the surgery she had doubts if she did the right thing. Now we know that she HAD to remove them to live. God had impressed on her strongly to do this. She was obedient. Thank God that all those hours she spent praying for wisdom and God gave her the clarity to hear what God was telling her to do. The dr told her that if she had not had the mastectomy, she would have full out cancer in about 6 months! So we are so grateful that God gave us proof that she made the right choice.
She will be discharged tomorrow…hopefully. Pray that we all will know how to help her.
Thank you for everything. We are so blessed to have such strong supporters!
Have a blessed weekend!
