Our best buds-Josh and Jill-introduced us to this chili on our very first dinner at their house. Every time I make it I remember that dinner. I smile and thank God for such great friends….and many more memories made around dinner!
Jill’s White Bean Chicken Chili
- 1lb white northern beans
- 51/4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 onion chopped
- 1T. white pepper
- 1t. salt
- 1 T. oregano
- 1 T. cumin
- 1/2 t. ground clove
*Combine the above ingredients for 5 hours on high in a crock pot.
- 7oz can diced green chilies
- chopped cooked chicken
- 13/4 cups chicken broth
- 1 T. diced jalapeno
*add to chili and cook for 1 hour
*Place a flour tortilla in a soup bowl. Put chili on top. Toppings: Cheese, sour cream, and cilantro.
All good Chili needs some cornbread!
